Cleanse With Me :-)
I'm a huge fan of DIY and homemade formulas, so I decided to write this because I am badly in need of a cleanse. You know, with all the meat I consumed yesterday and all. Lol.
Why have a cleanse?
I don't know about you guys but I like to get my body ready for the upcoming clean eating by having a juice/smoothie cleanse.
It helps to rid the body of toxins and impurities, its healthy, filling and packed with vitamins. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain :).
Now, it's important to work with what you have. Don't go spending extra money just because you want to go on a cleanse. If you can afford to go all out, then go ahead. If not, work with what is readily available.
The idea here is to get by with a lot of fruits. If you can do without eating food, great!!!. If not, take something light. Replace one or two meals with smoothies. They are refreshing and filling.
All you need is a blender/food processor and you are good to go.
Also, I don't have specific recipes. All I do is blend what I have. I have a list of things I have readily available.
1. Carrots.
2. Apples.
3. Water melon.
4. Papaya.
5. Ginger.
6. Lime/lemon.
7. Pineapples.
8. Bananas.
You can decide to make a smoothie out of only one fruit or veggie or blend small quantities of several fruits. Also, lime gives an extra flavour to the mix and prevents your apples and bananas from turning brown.
Whew!!
So, I have decided to go on a cleanse for a few days and get back on track.
I will gradually incorporate light food to my diet and start exercising daily.
I should be bringing sexy back in a bit.
